## Surf Conditions The best swell direction is west to northwest. The beaches are exposed to the full Atlantic fetch, producing consistent waves of 1-4 metres during the main surf season. The best winds are east to northeast (offshore). Water temperature: 14-22°C year-round.

## Vila Nova de Milfontes The town is a charming collection of white houses clustered around the Mira River estuary. It has a lively main square with restaurants serving fresh seafood and Alentejo wines, a small harbour, and a lovely riverside promenade.
