Baleal Surf Ranch is a premium surf retreat on the Baleal peninsula that combines the easy vibe of a classic surf camp with the comfort and attention to detail of a boutique hotel. The property is beautifully designed — modern architecture with clean lines, natural materials, and expansive windows that flood the spaces with light and frame views of the ocean and surrounding dunes. From the pool deck and the rooftop terrace, you can see the waves breaking at Baleal Norte, a constant reminder that the water is just minutes away.

The surf coaching at Baleal Surf Ranch is intimate and high-quality. With small group sizes — never more than four students per instructor — the coaching team can focus on each surfer's specific needs and goals. The program is flexible: if you want to spend the week working on the fundamentals of your pop-up and wave selection, that's exactly what you'll do. If you're chasing barrels and want guidance on positioning at Supertubos, the instructors will take you there. Video analysis sessions in the evenings provide detailed feedback, and the coaches shoot drone footage of the sessions for an extra perspective on your surfing.

The ranch experience is curated to be as seamless as it is enjoyable. Breakfast is a generous spread of fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, and locally roasted coffee. Post-surf lunches are served by the pool, and evening dinners feature Portuguese cuisine with a contemporary twist. The bar is stocked with local wines, craft beers, and a perfectly made gin and tonic — ideal for watching the sunset paint the Atlantic pink. It is surf camp, elevated.

## Accommodation Rooms are available as double, twin, or single occupancy, all with private bathrooms, air conditioning, and high-quality bedding. The property has a maximum capacity of 18 guests, ensuring a quiet, personalised experience throughout your stay.

## Surfing at Baleal The ranch is a two-minute walk from the main Baleal beach breaks. Baleal Norte offers a long, consistent right-hander. Baleal Sul (the beach on the other side of the peninsula) offers a more sheltered wave that works well in bigger swells. Supertubos is a five-minute drive.

## Packages Weekly packages include 7 nights' accommodation, daily breakfast and lunch, daily surf coaching, equipment, video analysis, yoga, and transfers. The ranch operates from March to November, with the best conditions from September to April.
